So I'm a Starbucks and as I'm leaving my ears perked up to some familiar chords. I go back to the counter and ask. It's Rice, Rice, Hillman, and Pedersen. What a boogie. Makes the Dead's original version sound like post '76. Anyone know of their music and is it worth pursuing?

Hard to dispute the pedigree of the players...

Agreed. I saw Grissman in the late 70's with Tony Rice and Darol Anger(?). I remember being boogled as to how much you could swing and boogie without a drummer. Pedersen I've seen with Emmylou. I think he was in the Hot Band, right? Do you know this particular grouping? Money is tight and I'm always looking for good advice before jumping nowadays.

I don't know, but seems like you can stream several tracks from youtube to determine whether or not it's worth it, including Friend of the Devil
